Ilonggos unite in solidarity for International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2025
Various Ilonggo sectors gathered last Friday, May 30, 2025 at Mere Adrienne Conference Hall, St. Paul’s Hospital of Iloilo to commemorate the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (IACM) 2025.
With the theme “We Remember. We Rise. We Lead.”, this year’s commemoration focused on paying homage to our brothers and sisters we have lost to AIDS and honoring people living with HIV (PLHIV) who continue to walk with courage and strength.
The highlight of the IACM was the lighting of the symbolic Ribbon of Hope, a tribute to lives lost, a celebration of those who are still living and thriving, and a promise to continue leading with love. Representatives from each sector also offered heartfelt prayers.
The IACM 2025 was organized by Mother Candide Center and Team Dugong Bughaw, in partnership with the Department of Health, PhilCHAN, CBCP-ECHC, SHIP, and PSFI.
