Leon National High School proudly participated in the Project Abot-Kamay Bootcamp, held at Urban Glamp Resort, Oton, Iloilo, from August 30 to September 1, 2024. Representing our school were three dynamic student leaders—Jessa Belle Juarte and Andrea Cajayon of the SSLG, and Beatrice Jabasa of the Senior Red Cross Youth (SRCY)—alongside two dedicated advisers, Mrs. Ma. Teresita Talite, adviser of SRCY, and Ms. Victoria Calangga, adviser of BKD.
Organized by Team Dugong Bughaw (TDB), a non-profit organization committed to raising HIV awareness, the Project Abot-Kamay (PAK) initiative aimed to combat HIV stigma, promote prevention efforts, and foster a deeper understanding of the issue across Iloilo. Through team-building activities, our learners collaborated with peers from Concepcion, Oton, Dueñas, and Pototan, forming bonds that will help carry forward the mission of spreading knowledge and compassion.
